RESTAURANT
In such peaceful and fascinatingly beautiful corner of the island, qaiting for you is Gianni (niknamed "iron whiskers") toghether with his wife and their workers, ready for you to taste traditional Sardinian dishes they have specialy prepared. Home.cured meats, olives in brine, ravioli filled with ricotta cheese an herbs, "malloreddus" (local pasta shapes with tomato sausage and saffron sauce). Gallura soup, the special feast-day mutton dish "pecora in cappotto" and barbecue piglet. These local delicacies are are all accompanied by the exellent farm wine, of course. To round the meal off, you can savour the traditional Sardinian sheep's cheese "pecorino" toghether with local sweets such as "seadas" (fried pastries filled with cheese an lemon rind and covered in honey, "ruoli" and honey flavoured "origliettas".
To help the meal go down, you can try a glass of the local grappa "Filu e Ferru" or of the myrtale liqueur "Mirto".
